Dodgers pitcher Zack Greinke is scheduled to make his first injury rehab start Friday night for Class-A Rancho Cucamonga at Lake Elsinore. The team announced the news Thursday. Greinke had surgery last month to repair a broken left collarbone after he was hurt in a bench-clearing brawl with Carlos Quentin and the San Diego Padres. The right-hander was expected to miss eight weeks. Greinke, the 2009 AL Cy Young Award winner, signed a $147 million, six-year contract with Los Angeles in the offseason. He is 1-0 with a 1.59 ERA in two starts during his first season with the Dodgers. The club said left-hander Scott Elbert also is expected to pitch an inning of relief Friday night for Rancho Cucamonga in his first rehab outing.

Dodgers' Carl Crawford misses last night's game with hamstring tightness

Carl Crawford has now missed three out of the Dodgers last eight games thanks to a tight hamstring.  Such an injury can turn into a chronic thing, just ask Jayson Werth who is battling something similar right now.  Crawford was held out of Wednesday night's game because of the injury.  He was able to pinch hit in the ninth, though. According to Austin Laymance of MLB...

Dodgers on a long losing streak…but is help on the way?

Well, keeping up with the blog has proved difficult the last couple of weeks.  By all appearances, the Dodgers offense appears to be having similar success. It’s time for direct intervention.  The last time the Dodgers won was a week ago on Hanley Ramirez Bobblehead Night at Chavez Ravine when this writer was in attendance.  After last night’s 9-2 beat-down to the Arizona...
