When Diamondbacks reliever Heath Bell enters the game against the St. Louis Cardinals, it usually bodes well for the Birds on the Bat. According to FOX Sports Midwest stats guru Tim Trokey (@Tim_Trokey), Bell's 11.17 career ERA against the Cardinals is the highest by any opposing pitcher since 1921 (24 ER in 19.1 IP).
Tuesday night was no different as the Cardinals roughed up Bell to the tune of three runs in a third of an inning. None of which was more impressive than Pete Kozma launching a herculean home run off Bell in the 7th inning.
What might be less impressive though than Bell's fastball was one fan's inability to protect his lady from Kozma's round-tripper. Nothing says 'I got your back babe' like running away from a home run ball only to have your defenseless gal take said home run off the face.
