Josh Hamilton has hit three home runs in a game for the first time, knocking a trio of two-run shots against the Baltimore Orioles. Hamilton homered in the first, third and seventh innings on Tuesday night. He also doubled to deep center in the fifth. He still had one at-bat left in a game that Texas led 8-1 in the seventh inning. Hamilton is the 16th player in Rangers history to hit three homers in a game and the ninth to get four extra-base hits. His 14 total bases tied a team record, last reached by Jose Canseco in 1994. He leads the AL with 13 homers and 34 RBIs and is batting .400.

Will Josh Hamilton Lead the Major Leagues in Home Runs?

The Rangers outfielder is only the 14th player to ever do that, putting him in rare company considering 21 players have pitched perfect games. Hamilton has been on a tear all year long so far, mashing 14 home runs through 27 games, which would put him on pace...

Brewers' batters are searching for answers

MILWAUKEE Johnny Narron didn't have to do much talking on the other end of the phone Wednesday morning; after all, the caller Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton had plenty to talk about. The night before, Hamilton had completed one of the best single-game efforts in baseball history, tallying four home runs, eight RBI, and an American League-record 18 total bases. And it was...

Free agency isn't driving Hamilton

In Celebration of Josh Hamilton…and the 6 Other Baseball Players I’d Pay the Most to See Play

Last night, Josh Hamilton crushed four home runs in a single game, becoming only the 16th player in MLB history do so. Normally, that would sum up such a superlative single-game feat. Not with Hamilton. Is there anyone in the game today more fun to watch than Josh Hamilton? Will The Rangers Go Ham?

Going HAM Reportedly, the Rangers declare great interest in signing Josh Hamilton to a contract extension.  Naturally, expressing such interest comes straight from the “GM for Dummies” handbook.  If the club fails to appear genuine with this interest, then Team Hamilton (represented by agent Michael Moye) has every reason to use the “disrespected and unloved” approach...

Josh Hamilton Setting Impossibly High Bar for Red Sox to Measure Up With (Video)

Josh Hamilton made history on Tuesday night, which was pretty awesome. What hasn't been as awesome is the recent string of results for the Red Sox, losers in six of their last seven games. Hopefully, Jon Lester can help turn things around for the Sox on Wednesday against Kansas City, but it would be even better if the Sox could make some history of their own on top of that. NESN...

Hamilton erasing doubts about his future

It's hard to believe that about two months ago a fair amount of Rangers fans had made peace with Josh Hamilton likely wearing a different uniform next season. In the aftermath of an alcohol-related relapse and his subsequent comments that he didn't owe the Rangers organization anything, it seemed like a reasonable course of action to let him walk in free agency. Then April...

Josh Hamilton hits four home runs

Forget Philip Humber and Josh Hamilton, This Recent Individual Baseball Feat Was Even More Rare

But an unassisted triple play? Now that’s a truly rare baseball feat. In fact, it has happened only 15 times in modern MLB history, the most recent being turned by Eric Bruntlett of the Phillies back in 2009....
