Sure, Walters had a pretty good run down in AAA, but in 19 starts with the Twins, he hasn’t really proven much, except the ability to walk people, give up home runs and not strike many guys out. You might say that Mike Pelfrey was better than PJ Walters. In fact, I would say that. So who cares that Gibson is only up because they have run out of other options, and they can’t keep him stashed any longer, he is following the guy who is literally the worst pitcher the Twins have featured this year. That makes Kyle Gibson especially exciting. Look at who he is replacing! Even if he is mediocre, he will look like an all-star. So happy Kyle Gibson Day. Enjoy yourself.
