It seems like decades ago. But, the memory is etched in my mind forever. Sitting on the couch with some of my closest friends. The cheap champagne was on ice awaiting the final out. I was ready to celebrate like the players. Champagne and beer bath. Time seemed to stand still while that chopper went over Bobby Jenks’ head. Kind of like the myth of your life flashing before your eyes before you die. As that chopper was hit, every moment of my White Sox fanhood flashed before my eyes.
Whether it be the games I was too young to remember like Bo Jackson’s return. Or the games I was too young enough to appreciate like the 1993 ALCS. Or the players that have come and gone like Lance Johnson, Tim Raines, Ron Karkovice, Joey Cora, or even Albert Belle. The teams that were out of it by May, and the teams that blew it in October.
Uribe has it. A White Sox winner, and a World Championship! Poof. All those memories have taken a backsea

(Note from Grey: Please welcome Scott to the Razzball family. He’s going to be taking over as our prospects writer. He charted prospects in the Midwest League in 2008, has a sound understanding of player development and said my mustache was robust. Flattery will get you everywhere!)

White Sox fans, Na Na Hey Hey GoodBye Songwriter Passed On
Some very sad news to report today.
Paul Leka, who wrote the infectious chorus of “Na Na Hey Hey (Kiss Him Goodbye)” performed by the band Steam has died. The catchy hook led to the song being adopted as the anthem for the Chicago White Sox in 1977, the famous “Southside Hitmen” team, a.k.a. the most celebrated third place team in baseball history. (It’...

Things to Look Forward to on the 2012 Chicago White Sox
Let me put on my Mr. Brightside hat for the moment. While optimism is at the lower end of the totem pole, they’re some things to look forward to on the 2012 White Sox. We will see some fresh new faces that will be hungry to play, and hopefully some rebounding veterans that remember hitting the ball in play is generally a smart idea. I’ll just do a Top 3 of things...
This Sale Could Be A Bargain
The Chicago White Sox used their first round pick, pick 13, in the 2010 draft to select Florida Gulf Coast left-handed starting pitcher Chris Sale. He paid immediate dividends as the first player from the draft class to reach the majors. He spent just 10.1 innings in the minors before the White Sox determined he was ready to face major league hitters. Drafted as a starting pitcher...
White Sox Could Have Rent Increase
The White Sox may need to pay higher rent at U.S. Cellular Field as the state agency that runs the ball-park re-examines the team's lease agreement.
The White Sox owner, Jerry Reinsdorf, pays $1.5 million in rent annually and keeps proceeds from ticket sales, parking, concession and growing merchandise operations, according to Crain's Chicago Business.

Same cast key to White Sox contending in 2012
Most teams committing a franchise-record $127 million toward payroll, as was done by the White Sox in 2011, would follow up a subpar season with wholesale changes. The truth facing the White Sox, though, is that there really aren't many moves to be made.

White Sox restaurant paid for with public funding
With the White Sox losing more than they won last season, a new restaurant across the street from U.S. Cellular Field gave fans a place where they could drink away their sorrows.
