(Up above, video of MASN's Adam Jones Defining Moments gum ad from 2010...not nearly as annoying as the old Who? Wil Nieves spot...but right up there with the worst MASN ads of all time.)
Remember that little phone call we told you about last week? You know, the one where the Nats placed a call to the Orioles to ask about Adam Jones?
Here's none other than Jim Bowden (consider the source!) confirming the Nats' interest, via Twitter:
Hey Dan Duquette: how about that 3-for-1 deal: Jones for Detwiler, Bernadina, and Lombardozzi? Sound good?
Well, this much we know: Mark Buehrle is a Miami Marlin. Time for Plan B? Or Plan O(swalt)? Or just Plan L(ivo)? Or just go with the arms you've got? Regardless, Rizzo has an arm or two to deal, even if he doesn't sign another FA starter...

Hoping for Something at the Winter Meetings...
The Winter Meetings are coming to a close in Texas, and so far it’s just amazing how much press the Marlins are getting – and how little we’ve heard about the Yankees. Seriously?
As for the Orioles, while we’ve gotten sound-bites and news out of Dan Duquette (he seems to be quite chatty, unlike MacPhail) and Buck Showalter, little has happened on the organizational front...
Orioles Trade For Lefty Dana Eveland
A little over a year ago, I wrote a post about the Orioles potentially acquiring 28 year-old left-handed pitcher Dana Eveland. That deal was "supposed" to be for Dennis Sarfate. Today, the O's actually traded for Eveland, picking him up from the Dodgers for pitcher Jarret Martin and outfielder Tyler Henson. Not too much from what I said about Eveland last time has changed...
Peter Schmuck: Speculation on a potential fit with Orioles
Dan Duquette has been pretty specific about what he is looking for in an extra/platoon outfielder. He said coming in that he wants to find a left-handed-hitting guy who can back up Adam Jones in center and possibly share time in left with Nolan Reimold. He hasn’t thrown out any names, but here’s a guy who fits that description and has been dangled in front of some teams.
