Found April 13, 2013 on Cleveland Sports 360:
When the Cleveland Indians signed Mark Reynolds, some were wondering, how many strike outs is this guy to have this season. I was wondering, how many Home Runs is this guy going to hit this season. The Indians have only played 10 games in 2013, Reynolds already has 5 home runs and 13 RBI’s. Could you imagine if Reynolds could keep this pace up all season long?  That would put him on pace to hit 81 home runs. There is no way that is going to happen, pitchers will stop throwing to this guy soon. But it is thrilling nonetheless to see this guy hit them out of the park. Today he helped the Indians win their second game in a row over the Chicago White Sox. Reynolds hit a grand Slam in the 5th inning to get the Indians some run support. The Tribe would go on to win the game and it is because of the great work Reynolds is doing at the plate. Cleveland beat Chicago 9-4 to take game 2 of the series. After what happens in the Tribes home opener, the Tribe can use some pick me ups from Reynold...

Hoping the Indians used the rain to regroup

Judging from the reactions of most fans—not including those who attempted to brave the elements—the consecutive rain-outs, effectively preempting the final two games of the Indians’ four-day Opening Series, was a welcomed relief. The excitement and anticipation surrounding the lineup is largely still there, but the concern over the rotation, having just allowed 25 runs to the...

Konerko shoots his mouth off defending Quentin

White Sox first baseman Paul Konerko has curiously come to the defense of his ex-teammate, Carlos Quentin. By now you know that Padres outfielder Carlos Quentin was hit by a Zack Greinke pitch, and that he charged the mound, and ended up fracturing Greinke’s collarbone, resulting in the Dodger pitcher missing two months. Quentin was handed an eight-game suspension, which he is...

April 13: Indians 9, White Sox 4

After being swept out of Washington DC by the Nationals earlier this week and losing a heart-breaker to the Cleveland Indians Friday night, the White Sox needed their ace Chris Sale to be the stopper on Saturday and for the offense to get it going. Unfortunately, like seemingly everything of late, that was too much to ask for, as the pale hose lost their 5th straight game to fall...

When starting pitcher Corey Kluber struck out Jerry Sands to open the top of the seventh inning of Sunday afternoon’s game at Huntington Park, the Columbus Clippers appeared to have seized the high ground over the Indianapolis Indians.
