  • The Baltimore Orioles traded veteran catcher, Ramon Hernandez and cash to the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for utility infielder Ryan Freel and two prospects.
  • The Colorado Rockies signed veteran reliever Alan Embree to a one year deal reportedly worth $2.5 million.
  • On ESPN, this morning Buster Olney once again reported that it is very likely Jake Peavy will end up with the Cubs in some sort of deal that will send the Cubs top prospect, Josh Vitters to San Diego.
