A few days ago, the San Francisco Giants swept the Detroit Tigers out of the World Series. It was the 21st World Series sweep in history, out of the 108 played since 1903. (The was no World Series in 1904 or 1994.) When the Tigers swept the Yankees, it was the 19th total LCS sweep, out of 86 tota...

During the World Series Championship parade today in San Francisco, Giants relief pitcher Sergio Romo took a political stance wearing this shirt. Romo was born in Brawley, California to Mexican Parents.H/T: Buzzfeed
Yesterday’s parade was a success. All the players had a great time, and the fans got to celebrate winning the 2012 World Series with their San Francisco Giants. The only downfall to me was the parade was on Halloween, so I couldn’t attend. I went to my kids Halloween parade at school. However, I did get a chance to watch the Giants parade on TV.
Now that the season and parade...
HARSHING KID'S MELLOW
This is one of the better pictures we have seen in quite sometime. Check out the look on the poor kid’s face (I’m not talking about the kid on the far right) and tell me that isn’t the saddest scared face you have ever seen. Maybe it was the smell that Tim Lincecum was giving off? We will never know, but the photographic evidence will live forever. via Fawn Liebowitz Article...
The Detroit Tigers have been one of the highest spending team in terms of payroll over the last few years. They have spent north of 100 million dollars in each of the past five seasons. The Tigers payroll has been as low as 106 million in 2011, and right around 140 million for 2012 when we factor in the half year earning of Anibal Sanchez and Omar Infante. With a lot of the...
A funny thing happened during the San Francisco Giants World Series parade Wednesday when a Rolls Royce carrying manager Bruce Bochy and his wife apparently ran out of gas.
A group of Good Samaritans had to get behind the Rolls Royce and pushed the car for the remainder of the parade route. However, this didn't seem to dampen Bochy's spirits, as he was proudly displaying...
San Francisco Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum posed for a picture with California lieutenant governor (and former San Fran mayor) Gavin Newsom and his 3-year-old daughter, Montana, during Wednesday's World Series parade festivities. However, Montana seemed a bit scared to have Lincecum stand so close to her, resulting in a memorable photo.

Everything was going as planned for Bruce Bochy during the Giants’ World Series parade. He was seated comfortably in his Rolls Royce, triumphantly showing off the Giant’s World Series trophy to fans when suddenly the Rolls runs out of gas.
The post Bruce Bochy’s Rolls Royce ran out of gas during Giants World Series parade first appeared on No Guts, No Glory.
It's probably a good thing that the San Francisco Giants themselves never ran out of gas. Am I right?Yeah, yeah, I know...but, seriously, gang, what else can you say about a car running out of gas during a World Serie parade?
I hate writing about this, but it's Hunter Pence and he deserves to be recognized for this achievement - even if he didn't contribute that much until the actual World Series.
The Giants held their World Series Championship parade today in downtown San Francisco. Millions turned out to see the second parade in three years and Hunter Pence captured some of the confetti downpour...
World Champions Barry Zito and Sergio Romo will be on Jay Leno tonight. Here is a picture of Barry Zito's wife with Barry and Romo in the background doing his romobombing.
The Detroit Tigers are set to sever ties with former Minnesota Twins outfielder Delmon Young, according to the Detroit Free Press.Tigers president and general manager Dave Dombrowski met with the media and said his club doesn't plan to bring back Young, this year's American League Championship Series MVP. With Victor Martinez expected to be Detroit's designated hitter...
The Detroit Tigers announced yesterday that skipper Jim Leyland will return to the team for his 8th season. Wait? That was a freaking TEAM decision? It’s not uncommon for someone of Leyland’s age to just want to just hang out … Continue reading →
Sergio Romo made some waves at the San Fransisco Giants parade as he wore a “I Just Look Illegal” t-shirt. I found it funny and I think people need to have a better sense of humor. Did Jake Shields really beat Dan Henderson? I still think that’s a dream.

It is unofficially “award season” in baseball. The end of the playing days signals the start of the individual honors. For the Phillies, Jimmy Rollins took home his 4th career Gold Glove award with a .978 fielding percentage.
But the award is little comfort after a very disappointing Phillies season that ended without a playoff bid. And in a strange twist of fate, one player...
