I learned about the Howard Kendrick fiasco a few days ago, but I needed some time to think about it. A lot of times I just jump the gun, writing on emotion, and frustrations. This time, however, I waited and contemplated what I would write. The story goes that Kendrick rented a house last season during the Angels season. One young Angels, and Kendrick fan, wanted the 2nd baseman’s autographs. This 8 year old boy waited until Kendrick was moving out before garnering the courage to go up and ask him for his signature. Reportedly, Kendrick said, “It’s not gonna happen” and were rude for asking. It’s sad that you are still standing here”. The parents were obviously upset that their son was sent home crying, so they reportedly drove by and yelled at Kendrick, “You have kids too, I would think you would never want someone to do that to them.”, Kendrick supposedly replied, “Have a nice day”.
