The Sox are 8-5 against the Birds of the north and closed out the month of June winning 3-of-4 against the Jays at Fenway. Dustin Pedroia was a beast for most of the series, going a combined 6-for-12 in the first 3 games with a homer, triple, double, and a couple of singles mixed in there.
The Jays did not make it easy on the Sox and pitching, as the Sox only outscored Toronto 21-19 in the 4 games. They still managed 3 wins, which is good enough for me.
Laser Show: David Ortiz
Maybe it's his 31 homers 30 doubles, and 86 RBI at the Rogers Centre/SkyDome in his career. Maybe it is because he is just doing so damn well at the plate (except the last 2 games). Or, maybe because I just plain love the guy.
Pitch Around: Jose Bautista & Edwin Encarnacion
I don't even have to mention their names for everyone in this category to know to intentionally walk them every damn time they are at the plate. Each guy hit at least one homer in the last series, and each series prior this season.
Don't Fall Behind: No one
Yeah, none of those guys raise any concern. Swing away!
How we see it goin' down
The Sox have not been playing great baseball at all recently. The Jays have not been playing good baseball since 1992, so the Sox have the upper hand. The Sox are about to get hot again, and this is the series. I feel a sweep. Yeah, that sounds good.

This season, Jon Lester has posted an undefeated record against Toronto, but the left-hander couldn’t extend his streak to 4-0 on Wednesday night.
Lester went 6 1/3 innings for the Sox, allowing two earned runs on six hits, but he didn’t feel like his offspeed pitches were working for him like they had been in his past couple of starts. Despite committing two errors himself,...
Jon Lester may be more excited about tonight’s start than anybody would be against the last-place Toronto Blue Jays. For the Red Sox starter, there’s a fairly simple reason. Lester dominates the Jays. Against Toronto this season, Lester is 3-0 with a 2.79 ERA in four starts. His season ERA is over a run and a half higher (4.37) than that versus...
The Red Sox will send Ryan Dempster to the hill tonight in Toronto to try to increase their 3-game lead in the AL East. He will face the immortal Todd Redmond. Jon Lester will match up against the highly disappointing Josh Johnson on Wednesday night and Jake Peavy will make his third start in Carmine Hose on Thursday night against Mark Buehrle.
Red Sox starting pitcher Ryan Dempster and Yankees reliever David Robertson are taking their rivalry beyond the mound and going online to see who can raise the most money for charity. It is the Power of 2-Baseball Edition.
Dempster is supporting his Dempster Family Foundation and the quality of life of those affected by 22q Deletion Syndrome. Robertson...

After struggling in the most recent stop on their road trip, the Boston Red Sox will try to bounce back by continuing their recent success in Toronto.
The Red Sox, though, will likely need a better outing from Ryan Dempster in Tuesday night's series opener against the Blue Jays.
After taking two of three from Houston to start its 10-game trek, Boston dropped three of four to...
5:50 p.m.: Mike Napoli has been bad — to put it lightly — of late. Entering Wednesday’s game in Toronto, the slugger is 0-for-12 with nine strikeouts over his last three games.
Napoli had already been dropped to sixth in the order after batting fifth most of the season, and he’ll now be dropped to seventh. Napoli will bat seventh Wednesday as Jonny Gomes bats fifth and Stephen...

(AP Photo/The Canadian Press, Nathan Denette)Sometime down the road, the Red Sox may look back on this gut-wrenching 4-3 loss with a series of regrets. They may regret letting Rajai Davis hit an inside-the-multiple-errors-HR to score the game's first run. They may regret squandering Mike Napoli's dramatic ninth-inning, two-out, two-run HR that tied the game. They might...
After going 3-4 in the first seven games then enjoying a day off yesterday, the Boston Red Sox finish up their 10-game road trip tonight with the first of three-game set against the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:07 p.m. The game will broadcast on NESN in the Red Sox television market. If you live in the Blue Jays...
When the Red Sox shipped Jose Iglesias to the Tigers in the Jake Peavy deal, they knew they were losing one of their best defensive players. Well, if Detroit wasn’t sure what they were getting in the young shortstop, they found out tonight.
The slick-fielding infielder dropped some jaws during the sixth inning of Monday night’s game against the White Sox. Josh Phegley hit a broken...
