The Sox played some comeback ball for a good part of the series, leading to 3 wins. We saw Xander Bogaerts hit his first big league homer, Will Middlebrooks hit 3 homers, 1 coming off of Mo Rivera in the ninth of game 4, and plenty of runs scored. Both teams combined for 66 runs in the 4 games...damn! It was a fun series to watch. This time Laser Show: Will Middlebrooks Coming off of a horrible series in Tampa, Will Middlebrooks is going to try to get back on the positive track he was on. Will is a very streaky player, and most of you would call me foolish to pick him to turn it around so quickly. Chances are he will do little, but I am taking a shot here. He got fired up against the Yankees last weekend, he can very well do it again. Pitch Around: Robinson Cano Cano didn't record any standout performances last weekend, though he did drive in 6 runs in the series. He was a tough out and will always be a tough out for the Red Sox, and everyone else. Avoid putting anyone on base ahead of him.  Don't Fall Behind: CC Sabathia We have seen plenty of hot and cold outings against the Sox from CC Sabathia. All he needs is a tiny bit of comfort and he will take the game over. Fall behind, and he will likely record a strikeout. Make him work just a little bit, and the Sox will be just fine. He is 2-1 against the Sox this season, but his WHIP is a cool 1.818. Translation, he has received too much support. Except on May 31, that was just a great outing. How we see it goin' down I thought the Yankees would have skipped far away from playoff hopes after last series, but the damn Orioles took their spot. The Sox offense looks good, pitching looks good (mostly), and they are just a better team than the Yankees. The Sox will sweep the Yanks, and maybe, just maybe, Texas, Tampa, and Cleveland will all win to dig the hole for the Yankees.
