When Hunter Pence came to the Phillies, he immediately brought energy and a spark that the team did not previously have. Fans loved it. What else was great about Pence? He is a really good guy. This is why he has been named "Good Guy" by the Philadelphia Sports Writer's Association. He also joins an outstanding lineup at this year’s awards dinner, including Flyers center Claude Giroux (Pro Athlete of the Year) and Villanova cross country star Shelia Reid (Outstanding Amateur Athlete). The Phillies will be honored as the Team of the Year, and both Phillies manager Charlie Manuel and Flyers coach Peter Laviolette will be in attendance.   The event will be held Monday, January 30th. You can buy tickets here for $95 each.
