My comment concerns Posey being only the third catcher to bat third in a World Series. Everybody talks about Yogi Berra doing that in 1947. I don't think that is true. Berra may have batted third in the 1947 series, but I recall he played left field in that series after being called up in September from the AAA Newark (NJ) Bears. I know he (then known has Larry Berra) played right field for the AAA Bears as I attended many of these games as a pre-teen. Can somebody check with Elias or other source to confirm whether Berra was a catcher in 1947? I was shocked when I say him catching in 1948 for the Yankees.
