Implications of Sheffield's condition....

Gary Sheffield had his first workout and afterwards admitted that he's not ready to play the outfield on a regular basis. I can live with Shef on this team as a right handed pinch hitter and occasional spot starter but I just can't see sitting Ryan Church in a platoon situation. So to hear Shef say that his role is as a part time player is reassuring in my book. But it does have roster implications for this team who have to cut a guy by March 11th.
