The New York Mets (62-54) hung on to beat the Florida Marlins Saturday night at Shea Stadium. The win increases the Mets lead to 1 1/2 games over the Marlins the NL East. New York remains one game behind the Philadelphia Phillies, who beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-2
