It wouldn’t be spring training in Major League Baseball without some essentially useless news regarding New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez. The currently rehabbing A-Rod has been maintaining a low profile as of late, staying out of the public eye as he conducts his rehabilitation from hip surgery in the Big Apple, far away from the Yankees’ spring training facilities in Tampa, Fla. Being embroiled in yet another alleged steroid scandal has probably proved to be an impetus to Rodriguez’s desire to be not seen or heard as well. But even an overly cautious Rodriguez cannot elude the determined NYC photogs forever. He was spotted along with girlfriend Torrie Wilson and some random, unnamed guy exiting the Upper West Side seafood restaurant, The Atlantic Grill. (Credit: Jayme Oak/INFphoto.com) According to the New York Daily News, an employee of the eatery stated on Wednesday that A-Rod and his gal pal frequent the restaurant often, saying, “They come in all the time,” said a female server at the establishment. “She’s his girlfriend. They’d been here since 2 p.m.” The Daily News also spoke with Marcel Jeudi, 56, a parking attendant, who said that on Monday night,  “A-Rod got out of a Cadillac SUV with a beautiful lady. It was just the two of them.” Jeudi also noted that Rodriguez was wearing a sharp navy suit. A sharp-dressed man, that A-Rod, as always. The Yankee reportedly was not in a talkative mood, much to the chagrin of one employee of the Atlantic Grill, who wanted to ask the Yankees slugger “how we could get out of his contract.” Zing. And because we are all wondering, the Daily News also reports that an insider told the paper that A-Rod “has been coming here for the last three days,” and on Wednesday, Rodriguez dined on oysters, a mixed green salad and grilled branzino fish. Yummy. So, Alex Rodriguez enjoys high-end seafood restaurants. Interesting. Three days in a row, even. And with all the other fine dining locales available in New York City as alternative options. I mean, hasn’t this guy ever heard of Sbarro? TweetThe post In case you were wondering, Alex Rodriguez does eat at seafood restaurants (photos) appeared first on Sportress of Blogitude.
