The Cleveland Indians fans finally had a glimpse of the Ubaldo Jimenez the Indians traded with the Rockies for last season. Jimenez looked like he is starting to repair his mechanics that have been causing him problems sicne coming to the Indians. Jimenez pitched seven shut out innings of baseball today against a tough hitting Texas Rangers team, Jimenez left the game in after seven just giving up two hits on the afternoon and not surrendering one run to the Rangers.
Jimenez was certainly in control of things in Cleveland today. Ubaldo has been working hard to find the old Jimenez, it looks as though all the tough work is starting to pay off. Ubaldo threw 107 pitches, 61 of them for strikes he struck out 6 and walked five. The Indians were hoping to get a great day from Jimenez as the club looked to take the series from the Rangers today.
