Martinez is playing very well in the WBC, and several teams have entered the race for the veteran. The Dodgers and Mets have shown interest in Martinez, while the Cardinals, Orioles, Pirates have had internal discussions about him. Martinez is expected to sign by early next week, giving him time to get ready with his team for the regular season. I expect a one year deal in the 3-4 million dollar range makes sense.
