It is nice to see a guy with lots of confidence heading into spring training in less than three weeks, Vinny Pestano was asked by a local news station in Cleveland about Detroit’s Price Fielder. It was great to hear Pestano’s reply when he said, what are we suppose to be afraid of Fielder? It is good to know the Cleveland bull pen is feeling good heading into the desert this spring. Pestano did one heck of a great job as the Tribes late inning setup man for Indians closer Chris Perez. The thing about Pestano is his numbers look better than Chris Perez’s. Pestano has a great attitude he is kind to the fans and he gets the job done when called to the mound. It is going to be great if Pestano gets the call and faces Price Fielder this season. I for one would love to see Pestano send Fielder and his high priced salary back to the Tigers bench.   The Indians have a great deal of talent in their Bull Pen and like Pestano said, this is baseball, send the guy out we will d...

Edwin Jackson finally signs

Fans had been waiting patiently for the last chip to fall. All of the big free agents had signed (Albert Pujols, Prince Fielder, C.J. Wilson, etc.) except for one. That one was Edwin Jackson, and he signed with the Washington Nationals yesterday for one year worth somewhere around $10 million. At first glance, this looks like a pretty good deal for the Nats.
