He may have yet to even complete his first full month of the schedule since switching leagues and joining his new team, but in the case of Kansas City shortstop Alcides Escobar, it is already more than justifiable to start a league-wide positional debate:
Escobar has made a seemingly infinite amount of show-stopping, run-preventing, jaw-dropping defensive plays already for the Royals. In fact, MLBTradeRumors.com has already reported that at least one American League scout already believes the 24-year old Venezuelan, acquired this Winter in the package dealt from Milwaukee for Zack Greinke, is the cream of the crop by comparison to the capabilities of any other American League.
