What we learned from the two game series with the Cleveland Indians, the Phillies are far from a contender. In game one the Phillies lost by the long ball and if you were a believer that Roy Halladay was back in from you learned after a mere inning he is not. Giving up two home runs in the first, the Indian’s made Halladay’s night a quick one in a rout. The second game the opposite of the first the Indians beat the Phillies with seven infield hits shutting out the Phillies. The lone bright spot was Delmon Young beginning his Phillies career with a nice performance getting two hits one being a home run. Runners in scoring position, this the one stat that tells all in baseball and the Phillies are not knocking them in. What needs to be done to change this short of a trade? Charlie Manuel has already made some lineup changes but it is clear Ryan Howard is either not fully recovered from injury or just not the player he once was. Manuel needs to make another change and that is at the cleanup position. I propose moving Howard in the hopes that something changes for Howard and the entire lineup. What do you think of this lineup? Jimmy Rollins Michael Young Ryan Howard Delmon Young Chase Utley Carlos Ruiz John Mayberry Ben Revere Yea I can hear you now it’s only May 2. But if you sucked it up and watched all of the last two games you’d be looking for a change.Similar Posts: Phillies Delmon Young needs attitude adjusting Phillies continue homestand with win behind Pettibone Phillies odds and ends: Lineup change,Aumont and Manuel Phillies waste Lee’s effort, lose to Reds Big win for Phillies and the truth told of that 9th inning
