With Jackie Bradley Jr. tearing through spring training and David Ortiz still on the mend, one of the biggest questions among Red Sox Nation is whether the young outfielder will start the season with the big-league club or in the minors. John Farrell seemed open to the former. When asked whether Bradley could make the Red Sox Opening Day roster, Farrell answered “Hell of a question,” according to Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe. Abraham noted that Farrell had previously said Bradley would open the season in the minors. Bradley is truly doing everything he can to make the decision as difficult as possible for the Red Sox’ brass. He’s batting .457 with a 1.168 OPS in 44 spring training plate appearances. He has two doubles, a home run, four RBIs and a stolen base. He’s also shown off an impressive batting eye, walking seven times. The 22-year-old outfielder was drafted out of South Carolina in the first round of the 2011 MLB draft. He spent 2012 split between Single-A Salem and Double-A Portland. He batted .315 with a .911 OPS with nine home runs and 24 stolen bases.
