Game two of the Battle of the Bay had Jarrod Parker coming off of three quality starts and Michael Kickham making his Major League debut. Parker started the first inning with a strike out but got into a little bit of trouble to follow, giving up a hit to Marco Scutaro and a walk to Pablo Sandoval. This set the table for Buster Posey, who delivered the first run of the game. Kickham started the game kicking and got the A’s out  1-2-3 in the bottom half of the first inning. He continued the second exactly how he left the first inning, with an out. He got Donaldson to strike out swinging, before allowing his first hit to Jed Lowrie.  After falling  3-0 in the count to Derek Norris, Norris hit a line shot into the left field stands for a two-run home run . After having a tough first inning Jarod Parker settled down and got the next eight batters out in a row, including strike outs of Sandoval and Posey.
