Jason Frasor Returns to Toronto

Jason Frasor just can’t stay away from Toronto for very long. He was traded back to the Blue Jays for prospects Myles Jaye and Daniel Webb. The right hander will be a key component of the rebuilt bullpen, one that has to rank among the best in the AL. With Sergio Santos, Casey Janssen, Joel Carreno and Frasor there are plenty of arms capable of getting out right handers. The recent addition of Darren Oliver will provide them with a veteran lefty capable of pitching effectively against both right and left handed hitters. Frasor went 3-3 with a 3.60 ERA last season for both the Chicago White Sox and Blue Jays, striking out nearly a batter an inning. He walked nearly 4 hitters per 9 innings, but given his strikeout rate the Jays are happy to use him as a late inning option.
