I usually don't like to recap games. I'm not good at it and I prefer to show some T & A. That said, the Royals-Tigers game last night was absolutely hilarious. Jimmy Goble, who pitched in relief for the Royals endured one of the worst innings in Major League History. Goble 1.0 IP 7H 10R 10ER 4BB I'm no Bill James but I'm pretty sure that makes his ERA something around 115. Right? To make matters worse, the Royals brought infielder Tony Pena in to close the ninth. And he pitched a perfect inning and even struck out Pudge Rodriguez. I'm guessing when an infielder has a better pitching performance than you, its time to reconsider your occupation. Jimmy, if I were you, I wouldn't even bother answering your phone in the morning. Just wake up, go to the nearest bus stop and head back to your AAA affiliate.
