The Philadelphia Phillies seemed to be on their way to a 2-0 lead over the St. Louis Cardinals in the NLDS after jumping out to a quick 4-0 lead over the first two innings on Sunday night–but that obviously didn’t happen as the NL East Champions lost 5-4. While Philadelphia has established a reputation for one of the strongest fan bases in baseball, it appears Jimmy Rollins wasn’t fully satisfied with those who attended Game 2. Here’s what Rollins posted on his Facebook fan page after Sunday’s game: “Not the result we wanted but that’s the way it is!! Now we just gotta handle biz on the road! Also fans were waaay to quiet tonight.” Rollins may think the fans were too quiet during the game–but it was difficult for Phillies fans to cheer for anything after the first three innings considering the team managed just one hit off of the six relief pitchers used by the Cardinals over the final six innings of the game.
