According to reports, funeral services have not been set, but will be held in Girardi's home town of East Peoria, Ill..

From Mark Hale:There is a major question about Derek Jeter’s health right now.
In the third inning of the Yankees’ 3-2, 12-inning victory over the Orioles last night, Jeter, who has been battling a late season, left-ankle bone bruise, fouled a ball off his left foot. Jeter was badly limping and hobbling during the game, an alarming development. It became more alarming for...

For one night, Raul Ibanez was the greatest hitter of all time.
Pinch-hitting for Alex Rodriguez -- who many predicted would someday hold that title -- in the bottom of the ninth, Ibanez launched a home run into the right-field stands at Yankee Stadium to tie the game. Joe Girardi's bold move in the ninth inning of a playoff game - pinch hitting Raul Ibanez for Alex Rodriguez - was hailed as courageous and admirable.
