Manny Ramirez's application for reinstatement into the MLB has caught some by surprise. Not Rays manager Joe Maddon. Maddon said at the winter meetings in Dallas on Monday that not only is he not surprised by Ramirez's decision to un-retire, but he'd welcome him back once the slugger serves his 50-game suspension. The Tampa skipper said that Ramirez is often misinterpreted and that he's actually just a baseball player who wants to play baseball.
