We’re sure Johnny Damon made plenty of dough during his career. What we’re surprised about is he seems to have saved a lot of money, unlike other professional athletes.

Damon is now 38. He played last season for Tampa Bay and is now a “free agent.” That means if he hasn’t caught on with a team yet, he’s not playing this season.

No worries.

Damon may not be trolling center field or DH’ing for anyone this season, but he’s definitely doing to settle into his retirement nicely. Why? Well, for starters, here’s is 29,000-square-foot Florida palace.

It’s gigantic and has pretty much everything you could want if you’re a retired ballplayer, including a wicked bowling alley.

Check this out:

  • 29,763 square feet
  • 8-car garage
  • tennis court
  • 2-lane bowling alley
  • attached guest house
  • Disney/Polynesian resort style pool with waterfalls
  • neon lit hot tub
  • outdoor fire pit
  • swim-up bar

Here’s the great thing about Damon’s place. The bowling alley is creepy as hell, with a crazy clown face at the end of the lanes and the word Damon spray painted on the wall in graffiti style.

It’s like someone broke into your house and tagged your name on your own wall, which is completely improbable. But hey, way to dress it up, bro!
