The only thing holding back Lieber from being a useful fantasy pitcher is how healthy he is going into 2008. Lieber is usually a helpful pitcher in terms of ERA, WHIP, W's, and even some K's (though he's not really known for strikeouts). This is mostly attributed to his excellent control. He owns a career Ctl of 1.73, and even last season, when he only pitched 78 innings and posted a 4.73 ERA and 1.44 WHIP, he still managed to hold a 2.53 Ctl (which is better than the NL average of 3.3 Ctl). His most recent good season came in 2005 with the Philadelphia Phillies, when he posted 17 wins, 4.20 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, 149 K's, and just 41 BB's in 218.3 IP.
We'll also take a look at Jason Jennings headed to the Texas Rangers.
