Jonathan Broxton used to be a young, chubby and talented, relief pitcher who would bring the heat and close the game for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Now he has just become a blubbery eclamation project who can still bring the heat. The Kansas City Royals are decided he fits their system of baseball and needed to recruit him with a huge buffet dinner at Luby's bow-hunting trip with outfielder Jeff Francoeur.
"Bow-hunting in Kansas City is not enough for you, Mr. Broxton? What if we did it on The (Jeff) Foxworthy Farm? You look like a guy that would impress," I assume Jeff Francoeur told the relief pitcher. The New York Post has what really went down:
