Josh Beckett has made it clear that he's thankful to the Red Sox and their fans for his time in Boston. But that doesn't mean he's letting all the fans off the hook -- especially those he thinks had it out for him this year. Beckett ripped the local media and the larger Boston sports culture in a column by WEEI.com's Rob Bradford on Wednesday, criticizing those who weren't satisfied with what he brought to the team and those who he says were rooting for him to fail. "It's just a matter of time before they get you, basically," he...

  • What a classles bum this guy is, a real creep, and obviously one with ZERO CLASS!!!! Once Boston gave him his big payday he proceeded to dog it going forward and never earned that kind of money. Remember the time he took himself out of a start due to an arm problem and was playing golf the next day. Hmm...seems to me you need your arms to play golf also. When the media criticized him which they were correct to do, this crybaby thought they were trying to get him. Let's face it, HE STINKS NOW...PERIOD!!!!! I'm sure the fans in Boston are glad to see this prima donna gone.

Beckett slams Boston sports culture?

Josh Beckett's World Series Heroics, Chicken and Beer Antics Highlight Roller Coaster Red Sox Career (Photos)

Josh Beckett's time in Boston could be summer up in one word, really: enigmatic. The three-time All-Star came over from the Florida Marlins in 2005 in a deal that saw prized prospect Hanley Ramirez head down south in return. Beckett entered his career in Boston with a World Series title already in his belt and the expectations of a Cy Young award winner. A roller coaster ride...

Breaking News: Josh Beckett STILL SUCKS Even In Dodgers Blue Debut (VIDEO)

The “Texas Tough Guy” AKA Josh Beckett continues his SUCKDOM. His Dodgers debut couldn’t have gone anymore PERFECT for RED SOX fans. Beckett was taken DEEP on his SECOND pitch to the Rockies’ Tyler Colvin. I was at my fantasy football draft and the room exploded in MOCK cheers and applause when Beckett’s fastball was put in the Coors Field stands. Beckett’s final stat...

Josh Beckett May Not Have Ever 'Got It' During Time in Boston but Pitcher's Contributions Impossible to Forget

The Red Sox pulled the trigger on a blockbuster move with the Los Angeles Dodgers this past weekend, changing the complexion not only of Boston's season, but also of the National League pennant race. Dealing Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Beckett and Carl Crawford was a bold move by the Red Sox and Ben Cherington, and one that was borderline unthinkable when the Red Sox first brought...

Rockies blank Dodgers, beat Beckett

Josh Beckett was decent in his Dodgers debut. On this night, though, he needed to be dazzling. The right-hander tried to keep Los Angeles in the game until the team's recently obtained big hitters could come through at the plate. Only, it didn't go accordingly to plan. Jeff Francis and three relievers combined on a four-hitter as the Colorado Rockies beat Beckett and the...

Vote: Was the Adrian Gonzalez-Josh Beckett-Carl Crawford Trade the Biggest in Red Sox History?

The Red Sox have been around for over 100 years, and a team around that long is sure to make a couple of franchise-altering moves along the way. They appear to have made such a move this past weekend, when the Sox shipped Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Beckett, Carl Crawford and Nick Punto the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for James Loney and four prospects. The deal is historic in its...

Nick Punto Always Envisioned Winning World Series in Boston, Says 'That's the Part That Stinks' About Trade

Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Beckett and Nick Punto were all smiles as they boarded a flight to Los Angeles in the wake of the Red Sox' blockbuster trade with the Dodgers. But at least a little part of Punto was disappointed. Punto is seen as a throw-in in the megadeal that alleviated the Sox of over $250 million in bad contracts, but the veteran infielder admits he had big things on...

Blockbuster! Gonzalez, Crawford, Beckett, Puto and (of course) Vin Scully

Wow, what a weekend to be a Dodgers fan, huh?  And what a weekend I chose to be up in my family’s remote cabin, away from most technology.  But I couldn’t resist logging in and sharing a few thoughts on this weekend’s developments. First up, like all Dodger fans, I’m beyond thrilled that Vin is returning for his 63rd season.  It’s a remarkable accomplishment, and something...

Will Red Sox Nation Be Patient As The Sox Reset?

The Red Sox made the trade heard round the world last Saturday when they shipped Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Beckett, Nick Punto, Carl Crawford and the bulk of their salaries to the Dodgers.  The move was met with almost overwhelming approval from Red Sox Nation.  The move also opened up many unanswered questions as to the direction of the team.  We know that the Red Sox will be going...

Ron Borges, Voice of Sanity

What is: a headline you perhaps never thought you would read? Well, its is true for today anyway. The screeching over the Red Sox continues with now talk turning to media-on-media crime. LA columnist TJ Simers has become a hero to some here locally because of his childish attempt to rile up Josh Beckett after his start on Monday. CSNNE had a segment last night -  Beckett finally...

The True Red Sox Fan Base Reclaims The Soul Of The Franchise

The blockbuster trade of Saturday represented a victory for the values of long-time Red Sox fans. The blockbuster trade of Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Beckett and Carl Crawford has been analyzed thoroughly, including here at BST&N where Erik Venskus asks the right question—which is whether Red Sox fans will be patient in the re-tooling of the team. I believe they will and I think...

Blue Crew Report: Going Gonzo

By SBRForum.com And we thought the Dodgers were already all-in on this season. After adding Hanley Ramirez and Shane Victorino and Joe Blanton and a few others, LA made one more big (some would say “crazy”) move over the weekend, bringing in Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Beckett, Carl Crawford (who’s useless for this year) and Nick Punto, and their contracts, of course, from Boston...
