As we told you this morning, Kate Upton was drinking in a suite at last night’s Detroit Tigers game. It turns out that suite was Justin Verlander’s suite. Yes, that Verlander guy from the MLB 2K commercials and your reigning Cy Young. A little investigating reveals that Upton in Verlander’s suite wasn’t by coincidence. These two are actually sharing some special time, according to Detroit locals.

If the locals are right, these two shared special time at Thursday’s Aerosmith concert at the Palace. Let’s not get too crazy, but Justin Verlander doesn’t have Kate Upton come to town for an Aerosmith concert and a night in his private box if he’s not dating the Sports Illustrated model, does he?

Of course, the last time we checked, Verlander was still in a relationship with Emily Yuen.

Let’s jump to conclusions – Verlander dumped Yuen, called Upton and told her to bring a friend to Detroit for Aerosmith and some partying before the crew heads to Kansas City for the all-star festivities. Verlander calls up Viola, who lives in Orlando & is working on his knuckleball, to be his wing man.
