An interesting Mariners lineup, missing just about any regular who can hit consistently other than Jose Lopez, takes on a Royals team that can't pitch, catch, or throw with any regularity. Ought to be a real hoot. They introduced members of the old Seattle Pilots pre-game, with former pitcher, author and politician Jim Bouton throwing out the ceremonial first pitch. I know, it ain't Deborah Norville, but they're both in the "tell" business, I guess. From the looks of things, Bouton's got the velocity of Doug Fister, with less accuracy. Know what we need here in the Dog Days (and nights) of August? A real, serious Facebook drive. I know most of you can barely see the microscopic link posted atop this blog, so here's a serious one for you down below. Let's get some sign-ons tonight so we can get a real serious group going. Sort of like a telethon without the charity. I'll keep blogging if you sign on. Geoff BakerCreate Your Badge
