Philly Buster:
Joakim Soria, the two-time All-Star closer for the Kansas City Royals, announced that he has placed six teams on his no-trade list, one of being the Phillies.
Soria also doesn’t want to play for the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, Rockies, and Braves, according to Gary Cobb of Philly Sports. It seems Soria doesn’t want to play for a high-market city.
Soria is not having his best season in 2011, as he has a career-high 3.92 ERA and has blown four saves already in 20 opportunities, but he is still a phenomenal closer with a 2.27 career ERA who is entering the final year of a three-year deal he signed prior to ’09.
