Phillies' starter Kyle Kendrick will get the ball in Tuesday's showdown with the Florida Marlins at Citizen's Bank Park, according to Phils' manager Charlie Manuel. "He's been in the rotation all year," said Manuel. "They have a lot of righthanded hitters." Before the announcement, there had been speculation that the Phillies would go with J.A. Happ. In two starts this season, Happ has an ERA of just 3.27, whereas Kendrick has a 9.14 ERA over his previous five starts and a 6.10 ERA in two games against the Marlins this year. Irregardless of his recent struggles, Manuel has faith in Kendrick. "He needs to get ahead of hitters and go with his strength. If he has his sinker on both sides of the plate, he'll be OK." Lets hope he has that sinker tonight.
