Found October 15, 2008 on Towel Drills:
While the TD staff remains on hiatus from discussing the Cubs, I thought I would pass along that former Cubs pitcher Kevin Foster has passed away at age 39 from cancer. Foster pitched in exactly 100 MLB games; 89 of them were with the Cubs. He was 32-28 over 5 seasons for Chicago, including a 12-11 record in 1995 and a 10-7 record in 1997. Unfortunately, those who remember him probably will remember the long balls he yielded. He lead the league in '95 with 32 and was third in '97, despite only pitching 146 1/3 innings.
