Free agent third baseman Kevin Youkilis is drawing interest from several teams, including the Philadelphia Phillies, Los Angeles Dodgers, Cleveland Indians, Miami Marlins and Seattle Mariners, reports Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports. The Indians, Phillies and Dodgers are looking to upgrade their production at third base and have shown preliminary interest in Youkilis, according to major-league sources. The Mariners and Marlins — the majors’ two worst teams this year in first-base production — have checked in on Youkilis, as well. Morosi adds that the Chicago White Sox also have interest in re-signing Youkilis. The White Sox acquired him from the Boston Red Sox last season. Over 438 at-bats with the Red Sox and White Sox Youkilis hit .235/.336/.409 with 15 doubles and 19 home runs. He was far more productive after joining Chicago, hitting .236/.346/.425. Youkilis owns a career line of .283/.384/.482 over nine seasons at the major league level. Youkilis drawing interest from Dodgers, Phils, others

In one respect, Kevin Youkilis hit free agency at the wrong time: He had a .745 OPS during the 2012 season, the lowest mark of his career. Then again, he’s entering the market at a time when a number of general managers are unsatisfied with their production at one corner infield position or another. And Youkilis’ improved play following the trade from Boston to Chicago – a...

Report: Dodgers Interested in Kevin Youkilis, Could Reunite Veteran With Ex-Red Sox Teammates

The Dodgers could continue to stack up on former Red Sox players. FOXSports.com reports that Los Angeles is contemplating signing Kevin Youkilis. If the Dodgers were to ink the 33-year-old, they’d likely shift Hanley Ramirez back to shortstop –– his natural position –– full time. When the Red Sox were initially shopping Youkilis in June, the Dodgers were one of the teams...

Former Sox drawing many suitors in the offseason

Like any baseball fan I've been spending a fair share of time on MLBTradeRumors this offseason, and I've been struck by the building interest in two former Sox: Kevin Youkilis and Jed Lowrie. Youk is a free agent and someone who many fans had hoped would return to Boston, although it doesn't appear likely. MLBTR lists six interested teams and Boston is not among them...
