In 2007 the Colorado Rockies quietly went on a September hot streak that sent them to the playoffs where they continued their magical run all the way to the World Series coining the term "Rocktober" and taking the baseball world by storm.
They won that year due to no name players stepping it up and hot bats from Matt Holiday and Troy Tulowitzki, the veteran leadership of Todd Helton and a little luck along the way.
After a dissapointing 2008 campaign, Matt Holiday left in the off season and Jeff Francis continued to experience set backs on the mound. The Rockies had another dissapointing start to this year's campaign it seemed like they were heading back to mediocrity.
Fast foward to present day the Rockies are tied for the NL Wild Card with the San Francisco Giants with two months left and no one is giving the Rockies a chance at holding on and winning what is a tight Wild card race just like in 2007.
