Koby Clemens is in the midst of his ninth professional season. In over 849 games he has hit 116 home runs, driven in over 600 and sports a career .261 batting average. His career year came in 2009 when he pounded out 22 and drove in 123 for Lancaster and Corpus Christi; affiliates of the Houston Astros. The son of Rocket Roger drew headlines last year when he got the chance to catch his father in one of his few appearances with the Independent Sugar Land Skeeters. According to MLB.com, the younger Clemens was ecstatic at that once in a lifetime moment. "Not many words that describe the opportunity and special moment this really was," said Koby, who went 1-for-4 after driving his dad to the ballpark. "I don't even know in the history has there ever been a chance for a father-son battery. For me, it's most the unreal thing I could have done." That special night has turned into continued success for Clemens. According to the Houston Chronicle and the Atlantic League, Koby Clemens will represent the Sugar Land Skeeters in the Atlantic League All-Star Game. Clemens is the primary catcher for the Skeeters, suiting up behind the plate for 53 of the teams 69 games. Despite hitting .216, he's gone deep 13 times, good enough for fourth on the league leader board. Behind the dish, Clemens is playing superb defence. He has a .994 fielding percentage and has committed two errors in 335 total chances. The batting average isn't that impressive, but his skills in the field and power at the plate more than compensate. *Statistics courtesy of Baseball Reference and the Atlantic League*  Devon is the Founder and Executive Director of The GM's Perspective.
