Casey Kotchman reportedly has a deal in place with the Cleveland Indians.
The deal will also be pending a physical, before it becomes official. The deal is reportedly for one-year, $3 million.
Last year, he had 10 home runs and 48 RBI’s in 563 plate appearances last season with the Tampa Bay Rays. He is expected to split time with the Indians at first base.
He will platoon with Carlos Santana at first base. He is expected to take the role of Matt LaPorta, as he likely moves back to the outfield.
