When the Los Angeles Angels opened spring training in mid-February, there were quite a few roster decisions that needed to be made within a six-week period. While many of those decisions have been made either through injuries or by prospects making their mark, there are still a couple of spots still left to be decided, and the upcoming Freeway series with the Los Angeles Dodgers could very well decide the fate of several players. For the Angels, four players will be starting their seasons on the disabled list: First baseman Kendrys Morales, pitchers Scott Downs and Joel Pineiro and utility outfielder Reggie Willits. For at least four players, that will give them an additional amount of time to convince the Angels and manager Mike Scioscia that they deserve to be on the roster. Mark Trumbo is a lock at first base while Morales continues his recovery from a broken ankle and lingering foot pain.
