Let the hand wringing begin....Maine

If you asked John Maine I'm sure he'd be disappointed with his results this year, Maine seems to be his own worst critic and in a year where he looked to expand upon his 15 wins from last season it just hasn't worked out that way. Maine had a great first half in 2007 but struggled in the dog days of the summer, he spoke of this year being more consistent from start to finish but the entire year seems to have been a struggle. In the first half he appeared to be constantly battling his own quest for perfection, which inhibited him from getting past his mistakes.But the second half has been plagued with injuries. On July 28th Maine was pulled after 4.1 innings of work when the coaching staff noticed something wrong with his shoulder and immediately after that he was placed on the 15 day disabled list.
