Found March 11, 2009 on Memories Of Kevin Malone:
I think I should kick this off with awesome news about Brad Penny.
"Boston Red Sox pitcher Brad Penny was scratched from his first scheduled spring training start because of shoulder weakness.

'I don't think the shoulder strength was quite where it needed to be yet for the workload I was doing,' Penny said. 'It's better to take it easy right now than to get out there in the first week of April and have it flare up on me.'"
Looks like instead of talking shit during Spring Training, you should have been using the bands more often, fatty.

Next up, we have a J.D. Drew update, and it looks like he's doing fine too.
"Despite the protestations of both J.D. Drew and manager Terry Francona earlier in camp that the outfielder's back was not an issue, Drew was sent back to Boston to get an injection in his lower back. The injection, administered by Dr. Bill Palmer, was given yesterday."
Couldn't be happening to a better guy.

Finally, the long awaited Andruw Jones resurgence has already started.
"OF Andruw Jones, Texas Rangers: Going 1-4 with just one strikeout, Jones has finally made an out that was not a strikeout. Overall, he is 2-13 with 9 Ks."
I'm sure he still thinks he's right about to turn the corner.
