LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) - While Miguel Cabrera says he is ready to rejoin the Tigers' lineup, Detroit wants to go slowly and wait for doctors to give their OK.The third baseman broke a bone below his right eye Monday when struck by a bad-hop grounder off the bat of Philadelphia's Hunter Pence, an injury that left a bloody gash requiring eight stitches.Says Tigers manager Jim Leyland: "Miguel wants to play but we are going to be following doctor's orders. He really wants to go."Fifth starter
The Tigers optioned LHP Andy Wilk to Triple A Toledo. Wilk was a contender for the fifth spot in the Tigers rotation. Leyland said the fifth spot in the rotation would come down to LHP Duane Below, LHP Andy Oliver and LHP Drew Smyly. Between them they have nine major league starts. Leyland said a trade for a fifth starter is not out of the question.
