This game was pretty encouraging for about half an inning.-The Bucs scored twice in the top of the first, thanks to a leadoff walk, two hits, and a comedic Astro error.Ross Ohlendorf took the hill. I guess I kind of jinxed him with all those positive words in the GameDay post, so he got completely shelled by the Astros. Berkman used the short porch for a cheap 3-run shot in the first, and Ross kept falling behind hitters and throwing very hittable pitches. He wasn't helped out much by defense, or offense, after the first.-Randy Wolf just dominated after the first, so he continues his mastery of the Pirates. Steve Pearce cracked his first major league homer (FINALLY!!!) but it would hardly matter in the scope of the game. Hopefully that eases pressure on him there will be more to come.-Instant Replay was used for the first time in a Pirates game this year.
