Rays third baseman Evan Longoria and Cubs catch Geovany Soto were named winners of their respective leagues' 2008 Rookie of the Year Awards.

Soto hit .285/.364/.504 with 23 HR and 86 RBI for Chicago. And Longoria hit .272/.343/.531 with 27 HR and 85 RBI for Tampa.

Congrats to both !
