Mariners manager Eric Wedge cautiously optimistic about what young guys have shown

Mariners manager Eric Wedge held court with the media not too long ago and was asked, naturally, about the explosive play of some of his young hitters on the last road trip. But he isn't celebrating anything too hard just yet. "You've got to see it over time for it to be real,'' Wedge said. "Until the league makes an adjustment to you, until you have that level of consistency, until you struggle your you know what off, then pick it back up and find it again and even be that much better, it takes some time for it to be real.''
