  Today the Mariners rocked out.  The onslaught was inspired by a weird cosmic aligning of two.  The Mariners looked dominating in their second win of the series against the reigning AL champs. Rowland-Smith came to play as he held the Rays to two runs over 6 2/3 innings, and picked up his second win of the year. He spun six K’s by way of some kind of regional Australian funk that was too foreign for the likes of Rays hitters.  The Rays seemed to keep waiting for the pop club music to get their boogie on, but in the end were left lonely with deflated egos leaning against the wall.  Rowland-Smith’s performance included a stretch where he retired 13 of 15 Rays hitters and a third inning of only backward K’s. The Mariners offense continued to jam in tune and on count recording their second 10+ run performance in the past week.
